At our prior fundraisers, we've gotten a great response to the auction portion of the program. These items were in addition to the usual door prizes, raffles, and Top 10 Finisher prizes you've come to expect. While we are still finalizing the auction items for the 2017 event, the list below will give you an idea of what to expect. Golf for Three at Merion with Michael McDermott, One of the Most Celebrated Amateur Golfers in Philadelphia History
A day on the links doesn’t get any better than this: nationally acclaimed Merion Golf Club, home of Ben Hogan’s famous 1-Iron in 1950, site of Bobby Jones’ 1924 Grand Slam clinch, and host of the 2013 U.S. Open; in short, a living, breathing museum of golf history. To top it off, your host for the day will be Michael McDermott, the first and only man to ever hold all four of the GAP’s major amateur titles simultaneously: the Patterson Cup, the Middle Amateur, the Silver Cross, and the Amateur. Golf for Two (2) at Applebrook CC with Pat Croce
Pat Croce is a Philly legend! He was the first person to ascend from the training room (physical therapist) to the board room (team President) of a professional sports team (our very own Sixers). During his 5 year tenure, the team rose from worst to first in the standings, setting franchise records for attendance, merchandise sales, and consecutive wins. He has also been an NBC commentator, founder of a sports medicine empire which he sold to NovaCare, best-selling author, Black Belt, serial entrepreneur, and motivational speaker. A day with Pat at Applebrook, including lunch and caddies, is a once in a lifetime opportunity. Value: Priceless.

Autographed Villanova Basketball
Yes, we were all disappointed with how the ‘Cats season abruptly ended after such a promising start, but they’ll be back stronger than ever next year. Coached by the dapper Jay Wright and led by first team AP All-American Scottie Reynolds, this team gave fans a lot to cheer for this season. Show your support of the program and Community Backstop by bidding on a basketball autographed by Reynolds and the entire Wildcats team. Value: Priceless to Cats fans
